“Imaging technologies for diagnostics in sepsis and infectious diseases”

The Jena Biophotonics and Imaging Laboratory (JBIL) and the Core Unit Biophotonics of the Center for Sepsis Control and Care (CSCC) were organising a summer course on “Imaging technologies for diagnostics in sepsis and infectious diseases”. The course aims to introduce state-of-the-art imaging methods and to train students in practical sessions in Confocal/Two Photon Microscopy, Raman Imaging and MALDI Imaging. This summer course is intended for PhD students with a background in life sciences, physics, chemistry or related disciplines. The number of participants was restricted to 9 students. Practical session were be performed in groups of 3 students on two afternoons, so that each student can choose two practical sessions according to his/her interest.
